todd hunter mcgaw has always been an observer. He is intrigued by all kinds of interactions – interactions between people, interactions of animals, nature, interactions of objects and light.

He began recording these observations years ago when is mother donated her old Pentax K1000 SLR camera to the cause. While developing his technical and visual skills with the use of his camera, Todd was very impressed with the similarity between the workings of modern cameras and lenses, and the workings of the human eye.

A love affair was born. As with many successful relationships, the two have become one. That is, Todd is the camera and the camera is Todd. What God has brought together, let no-one separate.

After completing photographic studies in 2000, Todd injected himself into the world of professional photography. He has worked as an assistant to some of the top commercial photographers in Brisbane , gained experience in photojournalism with a newspaper. He has had images published in various magazines in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and has been commissioned to shoot promotional and CD cover images for musicians and bands. Todd has been shooting weddings and portraits since 2000 and focuses the majority of his work in these areas.  As an award winning, Full Accredited Member of the AIPP, he continues to merge his diverse experience with his individual style and approach to create images that are fresh and unique.

Camping = Cool

We recently went camping in Toowoomba with some friends. There's nothing like watching the sun rise alone at the top of a mountain during that pre-dawn cold snap of morning air.  I just love that everything smells like a camp fire for a week after you come home.  mmm..  smell memories of good times!  Click on the image below for more pics of camp fire festivities under moon light..
